Club members responded in great numbers to this call last week:
"Please join other Garden Club members to help the students at the Boys and Girls Club on Thur., Dec. 4. Please arrive at 3:00 because the kids will arrive at 3:30. The club supplies 20 artificial wreaths, bows, and many pre-wired ornaments. These are all put out on tables where the students get help from us on showing them how to wire the decorations on their wreaths. They are so excited to be able to take this gift home to their families. Please join in this heartwarming event. You may bring wire cutters and scissors if you want."
Twenty children from the Boys and Girls Club of Rutland County joined more than sixteen Rutland Garden Club members to decorate wreaths this Thursday. Older children worked in the first shift to add decorations and bows to wreaths. The second shift was children from 5 to 7 years old. "Just adorable...and appreciative!"

**SPECIAL THANKS from Jan and Betsy**
In spite of snow squalls leading up to our afternoon wreath decorating, we had a great turnout of kids and volunteers last Thursday. We hope you've had the chance to see Heather's post on our website, including wonderful photos taken by Becky. We want to acknowledge and thank the members who helped the children as they selected bows and ornaments, determined their preferred position on their wreath, and observed their finished product with smiles. Thank you Yvonne, JoAnn, Chris, Martha, Kathy, Jo, Deanna, Shirlee, Maryann, Pam, Sherry, Linda and Dawn.
Sincerely,
Betsy and Jan
