The nationally recognized garden expert, Charlie Nardozzi, was our delightful guest speaker at our Annual Meeting Tuesday May 13th! Members gathered at the Rutland Country Club for our meeting and a wonderful luncheon.

Charlie is an award winning garden writer, speaker, radio and television personality, bringing expert gardening information to home gardeners. "Charlie delights in making gardening information simple, easy, fun and accessible to everyone."

We had a packed house, and a rapt audience for Charlie's presentation.

Lovely displays included the the Plant/Bake Sale on May 17. Summer activities always mean filling the window boxes and planters with lovely flowers to decorate Downtown Rutland in early June. And with 20 gardens throughout the city to maintain, we work hard to beautify our community!

Our president presided over the meeting. We had many successful events already this year with many more scheduled. She welcomed our new members, eleven of whom were present. Our Membership Chairwomen gave each a beautiful rose.

A delicious lunch was served; centerpieces were awarded by table to lucky members!
