Downtown Boxes are Beautiful!

Dear members,

A huge thank-you to our small but mighty team of volunteers who braved the cold yesterday morning to fill the downtown boxes with beautiful holiday greens! The box committee—Irene, Jan, Judy, Jaga, Christine, and Lee —truly outdid themselves with the time, care, and creativity they put into making the boxes look gorgeous for the season.

Jaga’s inspired idea to add the white branches makes the boxes shine—they look absolutely fantastic! We’ve already heard so many wonderful comments from business owners and passersby.

Beautifying our city is such a meaningful part of our club, and your energy, teamwork, and dedication make it all possible.

Another Thank You to Garden Club members who braved the cold and frozen dirt to complete the window boxes downtown.  Thank you, Kathy and Jo who worked at Modern Cleaners and the Rutland Sign or River St., Nickki , Betsy, Chris, Michelle, Linda, Betsy, Susan and Esther and Dan.   Some members went directly to a box which was why we didn't always see each other.  Beautiful boxes resulted from all the hard, literally, work.      - Jan
