The Rutland Garden ClubJul 6, 20230 min readCreate a Flower Design in a Few Steps!#1 Mechanics for the design include a simple low container, a block of wet oasis, a Kenzan or pin holder, and sharp scissors #2 Possible components for the design, including peonies (or seasonal similar flowers), hosta leaves, moss, and iris foliage. This traditional design looks great as it is - but you can jazz it up with the addition of equisetum (or similar bendable stems like bamboo) made into geometric shapes. Any hollow stem that could have a wire run thru it to maintain the bend could be substituted. And here's the result! This shared lesson is based on information from my demonstration at the Rutland Garden Club Strawberry Fest. Thank you for reading, Valerie Cleary
