For many years we've been celebrating the start of the summer and the strawberry harvest with a fund raising Strawberry Luncheon in June. This year, as it has every year, one of our members volunteers her beautiful home for the occasion. Forty eight lucky guests are welcomed in two settings at 11:30 and 1:30. Three courses are served: a cold strawberry soup, a plate of chicken or egg salad with a spinach salad and croissant, and finally strawberry shortcake. Our members prepare all the food, and serve the meals. Our wonderful flower arrangement expert gives a presentation after each meal.
It was an enormously successful occasion, raising almost $2,500, but the real delight was the time had by all - guests and volunteering members alike!
